KBRIN RESEARCH CORE

KBRIN Faculty Fellowship Program

The KBRIN-sponsored Faculty Fellowship is designed especially to encourage inter-institutional faculty collaborations.

The objectives of the KBRIN Faculty Fellowship program are to stimulate biomedical research by:

promoting collaborations between faculty
facilitating access to core research facilities at the doctoral degree granting institutions
encouraging the writing of grants and peer-reviewed publications
involving science and mathematics undergraduates in biomedical research at the regional institutions.

Faculty from Kentucky regional institutions may apply for funds to develop research collaborations with the state’s research-intensive universities. Requests for funding may include supply expenses, costs for using core research facilities, housing and travel expenses while visiting University of Louisville or the University of Kentucky, offsets for summer salaries, and the research expenses of undergraduate students assisting in research.
